Sony has announced the winners of its tenth annual Sony Alpha Awards, which celebrate the spectacular talents of Australian and New Zealand photographers captured on Sony Alpha cameras and lenses.

The Sony Alpha Awards are open to professional and amateur photographers and this year attracted more than 3000 entries across 13 categories. Each category winner receives AU$4,000, with the Grand Prize Winner, Mat Bell, taking away AU$10,000 worth Sony camera gear. The categories in this year’s competition were as follows: Astrophotography, Bird Life, City / Street, Creative, Editorial, Landscape, Portrait, Seascape, Sea Life, Sports, Wedding, Wildlife and Youth.
